A complete pixel art interface kit on a 16x16 grid. Build menus, inventories, dialogue and a HUD for a retro game without drawing a single frame or button yourself.

Every sprite comes in three colour themes with identical names and sizes, so you can switch the whole look of your game by swapping one folder.

What you get

  • 438 sprites: 146 per theme across 3 themes (wood and parchment fantasy, stone and steel, dark sci-fi neon)
  • Panels and windows in 8 styles: framed, ornate corners, inset, thin, cut corners, translucent HUD, window with title bar, dialogue box
  • Dialogue extras: nameplate, portrait frame, portrait placeholder, animated "next" arrow (2 frames), tooltip with pointer tail, divider
  • Buttons in small, medium, large and icon sizes, each with normal, hover, pressed and disabled states
  • Inventory slots: normal, hover, selected and disabled
  • Toggles, checkboxes, radio buttons, slider track, fill and knob, vertical and horizontal scrollbars, active and inactive tabs
  • Bars: health, mana, stamina and XP frames with smooth and segmented fills, a thin XP bar and a boss bar with a skull plate and a damage trail fill
  • 25 icons at 16x16: heart (full, half, empty), mana star (full, half, empty), coin, gem, key, sword, shield, three potions, settings, sound on, sound off, pause, play, close, check, four arrow keys
  • Two cursors: arrow and pointing hand, with hotspots listed
  • Floor tiles for each theme, used for the example backgrounds
  • A bitmap font with 95 glyphs (uppercase, lowercase, digits, punctuation) in plain and outlined versions
  • 6 example game screens built only from the kit, at 480x270 and 1920x1080

Formats

  • PNG sprites at 1x, 2x and 4x (nearest-neighbour scaling, no blur)
  • Packed sprite sheets per theme and scale, with JSON atlases (frame positions, 9-slice margins, cursor hotspots)
  • nine_slice.json with left, top, right and bottom margins for all 57 stretchable sprites at every scale
  • Font as PNG sheets with BMFont .fnt files and JSON glyph maps, at 1x, 2x and 4x
  • Palettes as JSON and as .gpl files for GIMP and Aseprite

How to use

Import the PNGs with nearest-neighbour (point) filtering and no compression. Enter the 9-slice margins from nine_slice.json in Godot's NinePatchRect, Unity's Sprite Editor border fields or GameMaker's nine slice settings, then stretch panels and buttons to any size. Stretch a bar fill to the current value, or tile the segment sprite for segmented bars. Load the .fnt file in Godot, Phaser, LibGDX or any engine that reads BMFont. The README has step-by-step notes for each engine.

How it was made

Built from code written with an AI assistant. Every sprite and every font glyph is placed pixel by pixel by a Python script (numpy arrays saved as PNG). No AI image generation models, no samples and no third-party assets were used.

Licence

Royalty-free. Use the graphics in unlimited commercial and non-commercial games, apps and videos, modified or unmodified, with no attribution needed. You may not resell or redistribute the graphics on their own or as part of another asset pack, and you may not use them to train AI models. Full text in LICENSE.txt.
